A sellers agent refers to an agent that works with the seller in a real estate transaction. He or she is also often referred to as the listing agent. Many times the listing or sellers agent will complete additional training and hold a real estate certification such as the ASR or CRS designation.

Seller Agency Council

The Seller Agency Council was founded by Joe Kennedy in 1999. In late 2005, the Seller Agency Council (SAC) merged with the Accredited Seller Agency Council (ASAC) to form the largest association in seller agency. The new Seller Agency Council owns and manages the Accredited Seller Representative (ASR) course and designation. Today the Seller Agency Council is part of the RealtyU Group of career development companies.
